KWS is an international seed producer that supplies farmers worldwide with corn, sugarbeet, and grains. The value chain extends from developing varieties through multiplication and production to marketing and sales to farmers around the world. KWS offers consulting, expertise, and innovative farming.
A new industry, a target market that is non-English for the first time, an entirely new target group: The challenge was to expand seed manufacturer KWS’s sales to farmers in Benelux countries and create a digital sales opportunity.
For the Benelux region, we created the first digital ordering facility for KWS products and integrated it with a user-friendly ordering process. Previously, farmers could only order via local middleman or directly on site via so-called freelancers. We developed and implemented a strategic realignment of these processes. The result: 24/7 seed ordering for maize, FAQ for switching to the digital ordering process, up-to-date information on sowing, weed control, and more about the video series “Mais TV.” We also provided a multilingual blog with vast information about modern farming.
With our advertising strategy we introduced and promoted the online ordering option to the target group. Initial sales potentials were already identified and the first online orders have been processed.
